Twin Peaks and Petunia were awesome, yay! Woody Guthrie tonight!

Last night’s show at the Lab was delightful! Locals All Breds put out some rock ‘n roll, everybody got all hand-clappy hoedown for Petunia and Chicago’s Twin Peaks brought some energetic garage rock. Please don’t ask your faithful editor for more details, though. Unrelated: Old English High Gravity is a terrible, terrible mistake in a can.
Tonight, if you’re so inclined, there’s a big Woody Guthrie birthday tribute show at the Union Hall, 208 Main St., with bands including Dear Sister Killdeer, Chris Sand and the Big MT, Fast Rattler, and more. 8 p.m., $5 to $15 sliding scale, not sure on age group.
Here’s Jason McMackin’s Indy write-up on the Guthrie tribute. I concur that McMackin is far better suited to the task of editing a novel than Johnny Depp is.
Tomorrow, there’s another Lab show–check the show calendar to your left for more.
And seriously, screw High Gravity.
